This session was a workshop based on some work that Ulster have been doing on their JISC curriculum design project so links with PREDICT.
They provided a background to some of their work but then took us through an actual workshop using their tools they use with module and programme teams. This consists of having a chart that gets participants to think about designing a module and then uses cards with words on them that you have to choose for each stage. This then focuses on turning the cards over to explore the strategies.
This was interesting and we could see how this might work with teams however it was more difficult because we were simulating this.
However Susannah and I know about this and have liaised with Greenwich University and Ulster are coming to City to do a train the trainer workshop on Monday 6th June and greenwich will have five - six staff and we can from our centre so anyone intrested please speak to me about the workshop when I am back it will run from about 13.00 until 16.30ish
