This key note was focused on FE and diplomas and transition to either
HE or work. Students had feedback previously that they did not understand HE
language and that their experience and achievement was affected by experience,
expectations, opportunities, material circumstances. Social networks and, confidence.
Stella discussed having developed a module for 15 credits that was an
optional transition module. The aim was to provide students with tools and
skills for self analysis. It included a personal toolkit which focused on
student expectations, strategies to manage, critical thinking, employability
and evidence of their skills.
