There was an interest in bringing together those interested in teaching and learning as a network. They set up special interest groups following a meeting where 60 staff said they would come and 40 arrived on the day. This was about sharing learning, articles, scholarly work and publications being developed. Four areas were identified for the groups which were induction and transition, assessment and feedback, employability and research methods.
The networks have been open to all staff who have an interest and some have had both academic and professional staff. Some of the networks have been well attended but others have been less so. It tends to depend upon the leadership and this group have tried to have these led and organised by a mix of staff outside the centre and within.
